Creating the Sculpture Experience Dataset

Kissimmee, Florida 8/27/23

DataPsy’s machine learning and data engineers are working with artists at The Studio (part of Violet’s Garage) to create a dataset that will be used for sculptures and art to interact with people with spoken wake words. We are actively seeking volunteers of all ages, genders, nationalities and accents to help train the model by speaking words into a microphone and recording them.

How to VOLUNTEER - THREE STEPS

  1. Express Interest: Contact us and provide your name and email address. We will then send you a link to a private shared drive where you can upload audio recordings

  2. Sign Agreement: Click here to find the participation agreement forms. Select either FULL (voice, image, audio etc) or LIMITED (audio only). Please print and sign one form for each person agreeing to be recorded. photograph or scan the signed form and put this in the shared drive. Or you can also mail a physical copy of the agreement to DataPsy Inc, 14 W Neptune Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34741. Note: If you choose to upload, we will later remove the document from the shared drive and store it safely elsewhere.

  3. Recording: Use the Recorder to record the words using Chrome browser. We will email you the list of words. Only record 6 utterances at a time, then download, then clear the browser cache and start again. There is a desktop version that you can go to The Studio at 14 W Neptune Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34741 and use in-person that lets you do 25 at a time. Try to keep background noise to a minimum.

The after-party FOR CENTRAL FLORIDA VOLUNTEERS

Once the first example sculpture is available, there will be an after-party for the volunteers at Violet’s Garage where refreshments, snacks and arts & craft activities will be provided. The likely Party dates are Friday 10/27/23 or Saturday 10/28/23 and will be invitation only.
